This video was made during the first showing of my Retrospective Exhibition at Minories Art Gallery, Colchester, 1998. It combines part of a recorded interview between myself and Linda Theophilus, the show's organiser, with my explanations of my textiles in the gallery and in my workshop. This was the best showing as when the exhibition went around England and then to Sweden and Washington, DC, many of the lent pieces were omitted. The catalogue (8.25 x 11.75 inch) of my Retrospective Exhibition which ran January 17 - March 14, 1998 at Minories Art Gallery, Colchester, toured UK and then went to Sweden and USA. Inside its very tasteful cover, (see left !) there are 50 pages of text illustrated by colour and B/W photographs. The text consists of a transcription of the interview with Linda Theophilus, together with appreciations by Jack Lenor Larsen, Noemi Speiser, Martina Margetts and Junichi Arai. The illustrations range from my very first piece of weaving, a scarf for my mother, to the latest macrogauze wall hanging. It ends with a full descriptive list of all the exhibits as they appeared in the first showing, with dates, sizes, colours, materials. PRICE £10 (=$15 approx) + postage |
